Under the creative direction of designer Hussein Chalayan, the theme of ‘Double Exposure’ guides this season’s Urban Mobility line. The collection takes its inspiration from the construction and mechanics of a camera with the linear camera shutter being the main point of reference (shutter lines of the camera lens). Travel is still a key recurring theme but this season photographic geometry, light, and overlay stories add to this core concept.

The principal shutter theme runs throughout the Men’s Collection as a rib that has linear angles based on the shutter lines of the camera lens. For Women’s, it’s seen in the asymmetric necklines and twisted drapes that are based on lens configurations.

Padding is another key feature in this collection, with its seasonal appropriateness and its link to embossed, double exposure and padded, photographic gear cases.

The architecture of photography with its construction and geometry is visible in a boning hardware trim that is used in bounce-back pockets for Men’s and Women’s and an adjustable neckline for the Women’s.

The seasonal all-over graphic is the x-ray print based on ‘Double Exposure’ and is carried through to the windbreakers and graphic tees. The execution also talks to the Travel USP by taking inspiration from airport security scanners.
