It’s been a busy year for PUMA brand ambassadors PHFAT. The young, independent South African group has been hard at work - from their co-lab with fellow PUMA brand ambassador Jack Parow in the beginning of the year - to the impending release of their new album 22nd of July 2013, one would think that they haven’t had time for much else.
The band has also managed to squeeze in 34 gigs in 2013 alone. More than just about any local major label act (including, literally putting holes in the stage to a packed out venue at PUMA Social Club Jozi)
PHFAT are something of a South African music scene anomaly. They have had little mainstream media coverage and no record label backing, but through a growing dedicated grass roots following, manage to consistently pack out clubs and tear apart festival stages around the country.
The Band are releasing their first full length album “Happiness Machines” for free download or “pay what you like” from their website phfat.com.
Look out for hard copies of their albums, as well as, awesome limited edition PHFAT T-Shirts brought to you in collaboration with PUMA South Africa.
