PUMA Store in Rome revamped with innovative Store Design
Global Sportlifestyle company PUMA today reopens its PUMA Store in Rome with a joyful, innovative and sustainable retail design. On more than 140 square meters of shopping space, the renewed PUMA Store offers a broad range of Performance and Lifestyle collections as well as cutting-edge architectural features to engage with the customers. The PUMA Store in Rome first opened its doors in December 2001 and is located in the heart of Rome’s main shopping area on Via del Corso.
The PUMA Store in Rome, which is characterized by a clear gender and product category navigation, offers a broad range of PUMA’s footwear styles, such as the iconic PUMA Suede, as well as the latest top seller PUMA Archive Lite and exclusive special editions like the PUMA Disc Blaze. The Performance zone pays tribute to the latest innovation in adaptive running, the PUMA Mobium, as well as a wide selection of running shoes from the Faas product range. Customers will also find PUMA’s Lifestyle, Performance and Motorsport apparel and accessories for men and women as well as a large variety of merchandise products from Italy’s national football team “Squadra Azzurra”.
The shopping experience in the renewed PUMA Store represents the joyful and witty spirit of the brand right at the entrance: A five-metre high brand wall features localized elements that have a distinct PUMA twist. Another architectural element is the optimized use of space, which includes a clever use of windows and mirrors to extend the store ceiling visually.
PUMA also extends the fun and joy of the shopping environment into the changing room – the heart of any shopping experience where the customer has the opportunity to at last get up close and truly personal with PUMA product. Here, the PUMA Peepshow, a red box featuring a small video screen, opens up to show short and entertaining video clips. The inside of the changing rooms takes the consumer back to ancient Rome: Full wall inscriptions fusing Latin prints with the PUMA logo immerse the customer in the legend of the “eternal city”.
In line with PUMA’s mission to become the most desirable and sustainable Sportlifestyle company, the new store incorporates several sustainable features. These innovations include an efficient lighting concept resulting in reduced energy consumption (below 32 watt per sqm), the reduction of built-in materials, low-emission paint and adhesives as well as FSC certified wood and certified floor finishes guaranteeing that the forest products used stem from responsibly harvested and verified sources. These features help to meet PUMA’s overall sustainability targets which include more sustainable retail environments.
