Zombie Cats were out in New Hampshire

This past Saturday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the Subaru X PUMA Rallycross team raced in front of one of the biggest crowds of the season. With new track elements like the raised 180 degree platform turn, overhead car wash, and newly added dirt section, the crowd got a display of what rallycross is really all about.

In the heat races, Sverre Isachsen got tangled up at the start and damage to his car would force him to the Last Chance Qualifier. Bucky Lasek battled back from a slow start only to have his race cut short when he slid into the fence around the raised turn. Both would miss out on the finals with mechanical issues in the LCQ.

Heat two's early crash, saw Ken Block tangled in a mess of tires at the start. Dave Mirra would have a tire problem himself with a flat rear tire toward the end of his third lap. With this impressive display of driving skills, Dave was able to pilot his #40 Subaru for the last lap making for a wild ride over the seventy foot gap jump. He would finish second and make the finals, but another mechanical problem with his steering would force him to pull off after only the first lap.

This unfortunate day of racing for the team would end on a high note. A great crowd of Zombie Cat enthusiasts were waiting for the cars to arrive back in the pits. Fans stayed well into the night for a chance to meet their heros and show their support.

Stay tuned for news on another race added to the schedule!
