International Preview: Ukraine Vs. Uruguay

  • Written on:

PUMA Football’s conquering heroes travel to eastern Europe this evening to take on the Ukraine in their first fixture since capturing the Copa America back in July.

The Uruguayan champions will get a taste of what it would be like to compete in next year’s showpiece tournament in facing joint hosts Ukraine at the Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv tonight. Uruguay will look to continue their winning ways and field a side jam-packed with world class talent from Sebastian Coates to Luis Suarez and Diego Forlan.

Ukraine will be looking for some consistency in the run-up to hosting the European finals in nine months time, after an indifferent string of results that has seen them lose three of their last five friendlies.

Oscar Tabarez will no doubt have some serious selection headaches amongst a squad that are now ranked as the fifth best footballing nation in the world, having earned a reputation for free-flowing flair play and devastating attacking options.

Which Uruguayan would make your World XI?!
