Apparently, a bunch of lovely people from nations all across the globe have come together to partake in some kind of sportualistic ritual. Unfortunately we can’t mention that either. And we definitely can’t tell you about a certain someone (his name rhymes with insane).
If you’re questioning your mental ability because you have no idea what we’re going on about – relax. There’s one thing we can tell you about.
Jamaica is celebrating its 50th year of independence. And we’d like to send massive love, big ups and all round bashment vibes straight out to the coolest nation on earth. But why do we love Jamaica so much? It could be that we can’t get enough of that Jerk chicken, rice and peas. And let’s be honest, there’s nothing quite like the hypnotic rhythm of reggae and dancehall to bring out your best bass face. Or is it simply that Jamaica represents what PUMA is all about? We’re all about the love, energy and a passion for life. And there’s no country on earth that epitomises these things better than Jamaica.
Actions speak louder than words. And at PUMA, we wanted to show our love for the Caribbean island that’s so close to our hearts. Now, with PUMA being PUMA, we thought the best way to do this would be to drop a sick, fresh colourway and give one of our boots the Jamaican treatment.
We went to Bob Marley's daughter, and fashion designer, Cedella Marley to inject her brilliance and artistic vision into the PUMA evoSPEED. (Jamaica is known for its super fast sprinters after all.) The result is the gorgeously green, and truly Jamaican, PUMA evoSPEED 1 Cedella Marley.
It would be easy to bang on all day about the innovative technology at the heart of the evoSPEED. But for us, it’s all about the vibrant colours, unique patterns and the legendary image of Bob Marley that make the boots an iconic piece of design of history. Feast your eyes on the PUMA evoSPEED 1 Cedella Marley. And experience the spirit of a nation in every detail.
