The beautiful game is littered with giant killings where smaller teams have raised their game to overcome the odds and beat supposedly better opposition.

From the world stage to the local park, everyone loves to see the underdog overcome the favourite – and as we look ahead to a weekend of FA Cup action where several lower league teams have already dumped out more illustrious opposition, we want to know what’s the biggest upset in world football?

Ronnie Radford’s wonder strike for Hereford against Newcastle is always mentioned, but more recently who can forget Uruguay making it to the Wordl Cup semi-final, Greece winning the European Championships in 2004 or reigning world champs France losing to Senegal in the opening game of the 2002 tournament?

Elsewhere on the international stage Cameroon’s 1-0 defeat of eventual World Cup finalists Argentina in 1990 or the now famous North Korean teams victory over Italy are often called out as famous giant killings!
