Eric's F1 Travelogue - Abu Dhabi

Hi Guys, Eric here! What a brilliant grand prix in Abu Dhabi: great racing, lots of incidents and virtually nothing to split the championship protagonists Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel at the end. Grand prix racing at its best.

Brilliant though the on-track action was, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend was about so much more than pure racing. Off-track there was loads going on, giving uber fans like me lots to see and do. In Abu Dhabi there was a spectacular fan zone on the Corniche; celebs performed in bars all over the city (Mel C still looks and sounds amazing!), and that’s to say nothing of the possibilities on Yas Island, the man-made land mass on which the Yas Marina Circuit is situated.

Ferrari World had even more attractions in it than last year, the du Arena had three of the biggest performers in the world strutting their stuff on Friday (Kylie Minogue), Saturday (Nickelback) and Sunday (Eminem) evenings, and some of F1’s biggest stars could be found on the Yas Links Golf Course during the days leading up to the race.

I filled my (Puma) boots from dawn ’til dusk with fun stuff, but I still made time to hang out by the pool of my hotel. You can’t beat a bit of R&R at this stage of the F1 season!

Now, please check out my pictures from the weekend!
