Proof That Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number

Meet Alexis "Lexi" Thompson. She’s 16. And when she’s not spending her time bowling strikes and rocking out to R&B, you can find her defying all golf expectations.

Lexi took the sport by storm at the age of 12, becoming the youngest player in history to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open. She turned pro in 2010 and credits her family on her newfound career. She has 2 older brothers who are also competitive golfers; they had (and still have) chipping and putting contests in the backyard—loser empties the dishwasher.
