A Nod to the One Club Player

  • Written on:

It’s often said that in the modern game loyalty is a rare commodity. Even rarer is a player who spends their whole career through thick and thin with one club.

Whilst footballing greats Lev Yashin, Nat Lofthouse and Franco Baresi played for just one team, this trait is declining in the modern era.

We live in a world where money talks and player’s heads are easily turned by agents with the promise of riches, fame and glory.

But all is not lost. The grass isn’t always greener. There are still some one club players to be found!

In fact a large part of Man Utd’s success must go down to the performances one club men Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville.

A special mention must also go to Paolo Maldini, Francesco Totti and Alessandro Del Piero. Serie A legends that spent their whole career at the top of the game.

Here's a vid of one of our fave one club players!

One club players, we salute you!
