Puma ambassador Brendon Mcculum had a great time scoring lots of quick runs at the recent T20 Championships wielding his Pulse 5000 bat

The man who still holds the record for the highest runs scored in the shortest format of the game - a mind boggling 158 from 73 balls - Brendon ‘Bazz’ McCullum will always be remembered as one of the worlds best wicket-keeping batsmen.

This frequent user of the “Dilscoop” has a penchant for smashing sixes that is rivaled by few others. His successful stint at the IPL with the Kolkata knight Riders only reaffirmed the notion that he provided the viewers real entertainment through his cricket. McCullum, who also holds the honour of being the first player to reach the 1000 run benchmark in the T20 format, recently, also became the only player to score two T20 international centuries.

His latest century came against Bangladesh at the T20 Championships in Sri Lanka where he just needed 72 balls to achieve the highest international score of 123 runs. The commentator even went so far as to claim that his bat was made of ‘Magical Wood’!

First lets assure you its not. The PUMA Pulse 5000 is made of English willow & has re-weighed balance & control that bolsters the bats thickness. The extended thick edges & fuller spine enlarges the sweet spot of he blade, providing all round power & control – perfect for those massive sixes. Leading edges improves the bats durability & the new tapered toe enhances pitch contact.

McCullum has now become one of the most feared batsmen bowlers have to face – especially with the new ball. His prowess in the shortest format of the game has made him a wanted man by most clubs across the different T20 leagues in the world. McCullum & his Pulse bat together may just become one of the most destructive partnerships in cricketing history – and we can’t wait for it!
