Stand Out In the Lineout

Eligible for having played in Italy for MPS Viadana since 2004, Quintin Geldenhuys is a second line of the South African school, he is originallty from Johannesburg but he was trained in the youth of the Natal Sharks, where he also held the role of third line and gained a place in the South Africa National U21, the "Baby Boks". After the Sharks he played two seasons with the Mpumalanga Pumas in the Currie Cup, also receiving the rank of captain, before landing in Italy. With gialloneri Mantua has emerged as one of the best interpreters of the lineouts in the Super 10, also highlighting the great qualities of tackler. Convened by Nick Mallett for a few meetings of the senior national team between 2008 and 2009, he has held with Italy "A" in the Perth tie against Scotland "A" but he had to wait for playing his first test matches. He made his debut with the National Team of Nick Mallett at the Toiur summer in Australia and New Zealand, being used in all three test matches Italy played.
